HyphenPlay Privacy
HyphenPlay is a reader-first website. We collect as little personal information as possible and only when it helps provide a feature you choose to use.
Reading
You can browse and read HyphenPlay without creating an account.
We do not require registration to access stories, bonus material, or world pages.
Reader Contributions
If you choose to annotate a passage, submit a note, or contact us, you decide what information to provide.
For example, you may choose to include:
- Your preferred display name or pseudonym.
- An optional social handle.
- Your annotation or message.
If your annotation is selected for publication, your chosen display name will appear alongside the passage. We do not publish biographies or social handles unless you specifically request it.
Your Content
You retain ownership of anything you submit.
By contributing annotations or comments, you give HyphenPlay permission to display, edit for clarity, and publish them as part of the project, with appropriate credit.
Analytics
We prefer privacy-friendly analytics and avoid unnecessary tracking wherever practical.
Cookies
HyphenPlay uses only those cookies or local storage features that are necessary for the site to function or to improve your reading experience. We do not use them to build advertising profiles.
Third-Party Services
Some features may rely on trusted third-party services, such as email delivery, forms, hosting, or embedded media. Those services have their own privacy policies.
Changes
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, the updated version will be published here with its revision date.
